Alejandro "Nico" Martinez Accepts Position with Real Madrid in Paraguay
Our club is proud to celebrate Alejandro “Nico” Martinez, our captain, mentor, and standout player, as he embarks on an exciting chapter in his career. During the off-season, Nico has been hired to return to his home country of Paraguay to lead the Real Madrid Foundation Academy, bringing with him a wealth of experience and the same passion that has inspired our players for years.
The new academy, a collaboration between Área Deportiva y Chamartín Latam and the Real Madrid Foundation, introduces the Educational Football Program for boys and girls aged 8 to 17. Built on the Real Madrid Foundation’s renowned methodology, the program emphasizes teamwork, leadership, and perseverance—values Nico has embodied throughout his career on and off the field.
Having played professionally in Paraguay, Argentina, Brazil, and the United States, Nico’s journey has exemplified dedication and excellence. We’re excited to see him bring his knowledge and leadership to young players in Paraguay and look forward to continuing to collaborate with him in the future.
